Young people and educators learn about alternative narratives against hate speech

The fourth and last session of “Let’s Learn about Human Rights Online” took place on 2 July focusing on alternative narratives against hate speech. During the online session, young people and educators learnt about hate speech and how to deconstruct oppressive narratives. The participants were able to develop their skills in creating alternative narratives through practical exercises.

The online session was held by Nika Bakhsoliani, Chair of the Human Rights Education Youth Network.

The videos of the last four sessions in Georgian are available below:

“Let’s Learn about Human Rights Online” was organised in the framework of the “I Choose Equality” campaign run by the co-operation project “Fight against Discrimination, Hate Crimes and Hate Speech in Georgia”. The project is implemented under the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023 with the support of the Danish Neighbourhood Programme in Georgia (DANEP).
