Strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice: 3rd Steering Committee meeting

On 28 September 2017, the Project organised the third Steering Committee meeting in Tbilisi. The objectives of the meeting were to review Project progress and approve the work plan for the following six months of implementation. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr Lasha Magharadze, the High School of Justice Director, and Cristian Urse, the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia. Both chairpersons highlighted the fruitful cooperation and solid partnership between the Project and the School.

Following a presentation of milestones reached and results achieved by the Project team, the members of the Steering Committee contributed to the discussion on the Project's deliverables to date, noting in particular the training needs-based approach consistently applied by the Project for the benefit of School's staff and the judges-trainers.

The Steering Committee approved the Project's work plan for the next six months and agreed to meet in January 2018 for the final review and Project completion.

The activity was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the capacity of the High School of Justice of Georgia”. This Project is funded by voluntary contributions of Bulgaria, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Norway, The Slovak Republic and Sweden to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action plan for Georgia 2016-2019.
