Over forty representatives of the public and private sector gathered in Skopje to jointly analyse the data related to money laundering and terrorist financing threats and vulnerabilities in the country which will be the basis for the updated draft National ML/TF Risk Assessment (ML/TF NRA) of North Macedonia.

The activity was organised in the framework of the Action against Economic Crime in the Republic of North Macedonia under the European Union/Council of Europe Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey - Phase II (HFII AEC-MKD).

The initial NRA was also prepared with the support of the first phase of the Action. During the first two days of the workshop the participants discussed and analysed the updated draft NRA in eight working groups. On the last day, the group coordinators presented their respective findings to the National Steering Committee for combating money laundering and financing of terrorism, which discussed and approved these findings.
