Keeping critical thinking while reasoning of civil judgements with the assistance of a consistent judicial practice

For the purpose of ensuring the proper delivery of justice and setting up safeguards against arbitrary adjudication, two-days training on legal reasoning and legal drafting in civil cases was organised on 13 -14 October 2022.

To this end, 16 judges, within their continuous training, exercised their critical thinking and thorough analyses of the already adopted national and the ECtHR judgements, focusing on clarity of written conclusions and relying on legal arguments brought in connection to the facts of each particular case.

This activity was organised by the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo in cooperation with the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Centres of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska under the project: “Initiative for Legal Certainty and Efficient Judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Phase III” funded by the Kingdom of Norway.
