Working group meetings for harmonisation of the descriptors (key words) in administrative, civil and criminal cases for the case law database were organised on 18 June 2019 in Sarajevo. Administrative, criminal and civil judges of Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Supreme Court of Republika Srpska, Supreme Court of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Appellate Court of Brčko District discuss the legal terms to be searched for in the case law database, which is currently under development.  

Harmonised descriptors should allow better and more relevant search results, aiming at harmonisation of the judicial practice in equal legal and similar factual situations, thus assuring equality of the citiyens before the law.

The working groups meetings are organised by the Council of Europe, under the project: “Initiative for Legal Certainty and Efficient Judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina” funded by the voluntary contribution of the Government of Norway and in co-operation with the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina and The AIRE Centre.
