Members of the Advisory Board discuss new results achieved within  the “Quality education for all” action in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The fourth Advisory Board meeting of the Horizontal Facility action “Quality Education for All” in Bosnia and Herzegovina took place online on 15 April.

The meeting was opened by Adnan Husić, Assistant Minister from the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, Krassimir Nikolov, Head of Section for European Integration, Political, Press and Information of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH and Bojana Urumova, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo. Representatives of beneficiary institutions attended the meeting including ministries responsible for education on entity and cantonal levels and the Department for Education of the Government of Brčko District as well as representatives of the Agency for Pre-primary, Primary and Secondary Education and the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of BiH.

“Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project has found ways to successfully implement activities and has demonstrated that every crisis is also a chance and an opportunity to do more”, stated Assistant Minister Husić. Members of the Advisory Board were informed about the status of ongoing and planned activities for the coming period while Krassimir Nikolov and Bojana Urumova reiterated the support of the European Union and the Council of Europe for the implementation of the Policy Recommendations with a Roadmap for Improving Inclusive Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The action “Quality education for all” is a part of the joint European Union and the Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”, implemented by the Council of Europe.
