The Government of Sweden has made a voluntary contribution of SEK 5 000 000 (approximately €455 000) to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases and to support the activities of the Venice Commission.

Ambassador Mårten Ehnberg, Permanent Representative of Sweden to the Council of Europe, met with Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.
