Ukraine makes voluntary contribution

The government of Ukraine has made a voluntary contribution of € 348,416.34, of which €174,237.28 is non-earmarked in support of the unfunded needs of the Council of Europe’s Programme and Budget 2018-2019.

The remaining amount of €174,179.06 has been earmarked towards the work of the Council of Europe in a number of areas. These include the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases, Roma, LGBT, the protection of journalism and the safety of journalists and other media actors, combating racism and intolerance, the prevention of torture, promoting gender equality, protecting cultural heritage, as well as support to the Commissioner for Human Rights, GRECO and Moneyval.

Ambassador Dmytro Kuleba, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, met with Mrs Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.
