The Netherlands make a voluntary contribution

The Government of the Netherlands has made a voluntary contribution of €301,200 to support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2022, the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023, human rights and equality for LGBTI persons, the internet platform to promote the protection of journalism and safety of journalists, the Human Rights Moot Court Competition, as well as to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases. 

The Netherlands has also pledged €200,000 to the Human Rights Trust Fund*.

The agreements were signed on 8 July 2021 by Ambassador Roeland Böcker, Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the Council of Europe, and Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General.

 

*The Human Rights Trust Fund (HRTF) brings together seven contributors: Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
