A group of seven Permanent Representatives to the Council of Europe held high-level meetings in Chisinau on 23-24 March in order to study the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova on behalf of the Committee of Ministers' Rapporteur Group on Democracy. 

They met the Speaker of Parliament, Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Minister for Justice, the Minister of Culture,  as well as other representatives of beneficiary institutions and agencies, civil society and political parties.  Ambassador Pirkka Tapiola, Head of the European Union Delegation told the group, "we share a flag, and we share the same values" during their meeting with the EU Delegation.

Talks with OSCE, UN organisations and Ambassadors of Council of Europe member States were also on the programme.
