The Government of Portugal has made a voluntary contribution of €100,000 towards reducing the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases as well as to support the activities of the Pompidou Group.

The agreement was signed on 8 February 2022 by Ambassador Gilberto Jerónimo, Permanent Representative of Portugal to the Council of Europe, and Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General.
