Netherlands makes a voluntary contribution

The Government of the Netherlands has made a voluntary contribution of €460,000 to support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2023-2026, the Venice Commission’s activities, the Safety of Journalists Platform, the Parliamentary Network Women Free from Violence, human rights and equality for LGBTI persons, as well as to reduce the backlog of well-founded cases and the outstanding unexecuted leading judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
The Netherlands has also pledged €200 000 to the Human Rights Trust Fund*.
Ambassador Tanja Gonggrijp, Permanent Representative of Netherlands to the Council of Europe, met with Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.

*The HRTF brings together eight contributors: Finland, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
