Iceland makes a voluntary contribution

In the framework of their upcoming Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers, the Government of Iceland made a voluntary contribution of €300 000 towards Council of Europe projects that support the priorities of the Icelandic Chairmanship. Iceland’s contribution supports the European Court of Human Rights, the Council of Europe’s work on gender equality in Europe and children’s rights, notably to promote the “Barnahus model” in Europe.

Ms Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Prime Minister of Iceland, met with Ms Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General, on this occasion.
