Deputy Secretary General at European Heritage Days annual assembly

European Heritage Days, a joint action of the Council of Europe and the European Union, holds its annual Assembly of national co-ordinators of the 50 States Parties to the European Cultural Convention, in presence of the Deputy Secretary General Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni.

European Heritage Days is an annual event designed to promote the continent’s common cultural heritage and to inspire greater tolerance for other cultures across Europe.

This year’s event involving over 70,000 events has been the largest participatory cultural happening on the continent. The events showcase the value of European common heritage, highlighting the need to conserve historical and cultural monuments for future generations.

National organisers meet annually to share practices, present their experiences and review progress made this year to draw inspiration for future editions.

The Awards Ceremony for the European Heritage Stories will take place at 5:30 p.m. on 17 October.
