Deputy Secretary General Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni today welcomed, on the forecourt of the Palais de l’Europe, the European Minimum Income Network (EMIN) Bus, an awareness raising operation on the relevance of the right to adequate, accessible and enabling minimum income schemes. The EMIN BUS JOURNEY is campaigning for Guaranteed Minimum Income Schemes across Europe. The road trip involves two Buses in a tour across 32 Countries during 64 days with some 120 programmes and over a thousand volunteers. The tour made one of its first stops at the Council of Europe, due to the importance attached by the organisers to the European Social Charter. The initiative was launched in front of the European Parliament in Brussels on 24 April.
