Implementing European Court of Human Rights judgments

The Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers is holding its quarterly meeting to oversee member states’ execution of judgments from the European Court of Human Rights from 5 to 7 December.

Information on the cases to be examined at the meeting is available here.

Decisions taken by the committee will be published on the website of the Department for the Execution of Judgments as soon as possible after the meeting.

Council of Europe member states are obliged to implement judgments from the European Court of Human Rights under Article 46 of the human rights convention.

The Committee of Ministers oversees the execution of judgments on the basis of information provided by the national authorities concerned, NGOs and other interested parties.
