Toolkit to combat violence against women in Tunisia

Practical toolkit to combat all forms of violence against women in Tunisia was developed by Tunisian Ministry of Women, Family, Children and Seniors with the support of the Council of Europe. This toolkit aims to ensure access of women to the rights guaranteed to them by Organic Law No. 2017-58 of August 11, 2017 on the elimination of violence against women.

The Toolkit includes:

  • The booklet on the rights of women victims of violence entitled "I am not alone ..." it is written in simple and clear language to inform women of their rights, as set out in the law N°58/2017, on the elimination of violence against women. The booklet also presents the facilities and services to which any woman victim of violence can have access and list with contacts of care entities. For more information, you can consult the electronic version of the booklet, available in Arabic language here.
  • The cards of the rights of women victims of violence that clearly and succinctly summarize the rights explained in the booklet. For more information, you can consult electronic version of cards in Arabic language here.

The Ministry will disseminate the toolkit, in its printed version, to women through care facilities for women victims of violence throughout Tunisia
