Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić met with Monsignor Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See, to pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Holy See’s observer status at the Council of Europe. She welcomed the Holy See’s long standing commitment to the organisation and its value-based cooperation in the field of cultural heritage and several other areas. Secretary General Pejčinović Burić and Monsignor Gallagher are addressing the opening session of a seminar entitled “Building Europe Together” from 7 to 9 January at the University of Strasbourg, to commemorate 50 years of the Holy See in the Council of Europe.
