The Directorate General of Democracy organised the second edition of the Childrens’ Forum “Children, actors of Citizenship” in co-operation with the Association Themis
On 12 May, in the Hemicycle, 650 pupils aged 8-10 from 25 classes of the Haut-Rhin and 650 pupils aged 8-10 from 25 classes of the Bas-Rhin presented respectively in the morning and the afternoon ten initiatives of living together at school.
The initiatives presented in the form of a play, a song or a video, allowed the children to express themselves, to present innovative ideas to improve the implementation of standards on children’s rights and encourage the development of civic participation of youngsters.
A diploma was awarded to the class whose initiative has been elected "Best initiative"
- "Best initiative" - morning: Ecole Fernand Anna (Wittenheim) - "Un sifflet pour tous - tous pour un sifflet"
- "Best initiative" - afternoon: Ecole Lixenbuhl (Illkirch) - "L’école de nos rêves"
