The Pompidou Group guest of honor at the Irish national drugs Forum

The Irish national drug forum took place in Dublin on 4 November. In connection with the Irish Presidency of the Council of Europe (May – November 2022), the Pompidou Group held a prominent place in the event, which explored an expansive range of topics, from the future of European drugs policy to the importance of inclusion and innovation in research, prevention, and harm reduction practices. The Executive Secretary made a key note presentation “The Pompidou Group at 51: Human Rights at the heart of drug policies” and had a bilateral meeting with Minister of State Frank Feighan, responsible for public health, well-being and national drug strategy, who confirmed his participation in the Lisbon ministerial meeting in December. Sabrina Molinaro, from the National Research Council of Italy, and Carine Mutatayi, from the French Monitoring Centre on Drugs and Drug Addiction, presented the work of the Pompidou Group (and the EMCDDA) in the fields of school surveys (ESPAD/MEDSPAD) and gender.
