On 23-24 November 2021, the Secretariat of the Pompidou Group hosted its 8th annual meeting of the expert group on ‘Drugs Online’ in hybrid format in Strasbourg and online. The focus this year was on e-evidence collection, ANITA-project scraping tool, blockchain analytics, darknet & virtual assets, Wall Street Market, and case studies on nitrous oxide (N2O) and postal deliveries of drugs. The second day started with an introduction on the Council of Europe’s Budapest Convention (cybercrime convention) and its second protocol. The meeting ended with a specific workshop for law enforcement officers on the ‘Direct Disclosure of Subscriber Information’ form the second protocol. The meeting brought together 70 experts from 23 different countries and 5 international organisations. 55 experts were following the meeting through videoconference and 15 experts were physically present with us in Strasbourg.
