The Cooperation Group of South-East European Airports (CGSEEA) was set up in 2015 within the Pompidou Group to strengthen regional cooperation and respond to the specific needs of the region.

The 2022 annual and technical meetings of the CGSEEA took place in Ljubljana, hosted and chaired by the authorities of Slovenia, notably the Ministry of Interior’s General Police Directorate in close cooperation with the Republic of Slovenia Financial Administration’s customs.

Police and customs officers from 11 South-East European (SEE) countries and territories participated in the meetings. Participants exchanged on methods of operational data sharing, new trends and modus operandi on smuggling illicit drugs through SEE airports and ways of tackling common challenges in the region.
