Module I of Drug Policy Executive Course

 

The new comprehensive academic course of the Pompidou Group’s International Drug Policy Academy- Drug Policy Executive Course – was launched on 24 August during the Module I organised in Strasbourg on 24-27 August 2021.

This three-module advanced course is conducted over a 12-month period, with in-person and distant learning components. The course will lead to a Certificate in Advance Drug Policy Management delivered by the International Drug Policy Academy. It is specially designed for managers or senior team members working in the area of drug policies and addictions.

The Course contains all key competency areas related to drug policy development, implementation, and evaluation. Module I with a focus on policy examined the key concepts of drug policy from a larger health, safety and human rights perspective. Module II, planned for 30 November-3 December in Venice, Italy will focus on understanding addictions and analysing the basic cognitive neuroscience impact of major categories of psychoactive substances and how this relates to addiction potential and risk.

The launch of the Drug Policy Executive Course forms part of the Pompidou Group’s events marking its 50th anniversary in 2021.
