The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has issued the Guidelines on Computer Security (No. 3623/MPT, 11 December 2017) and the Decision on penalties in Cyber Crime (No. 3624/MPT, 11 December 2017), under Law on Prevention and Combating of Cyber Crime.

LaoCERT – Laos national Computer Emergency Response Team

The Lao People's Democratic Republic Police Force opens in the Forensics Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, in August 2019, the first Digital Forensics Laboratory, specialized in the analysis of digital evidence seized, or resulting from, criminal investigations in Lao including transnational organized crime, cybercrime and wildlife crime.
