Stakeholder dialogue continues, in order to increase the visibility of the Observatory and to boost its outreach. The most recent set of exchanges took place with representatives of five countries which are not yet members of the Observatory – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, and Slovak Republic.

The quality and credibility of the Observatory’s output depends very much on its memberships. For more viable, solid, and sustainable results, “there is a need to enlarge the scope of the regular and thematic reports and cover most of the European continent”, argued Mr Lamassoure, the Chair of the Governing Board of the Observatory in the discussions with the officials.

The first Annual Conference of the Observatory, set to take place on 2-3 December 2021 in Strasbourg, will offer a discussion forum where the goal, the expected results and the working methods of the Observatory will be presented.

The Observatory will maintain this dialogue with countries who are interested in learning more about its mission and as we work towards enlargement or any other form of cooperation.
