The President of the European Committee of Social Rights, Giuseppe Palmisano, the Executive Director of Doctors Without Borders USA, Avril Benoit, and the Professor of Social and Political Anthropology, Raúl Acosta, will be together on the first-ever #SOLIDACTION campaign webinar "INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY. Its changing face: how to harness the best from the new equality and social justice movements?", next Thursday 17 September at 3 pm (CET).
The webinar will be moderated by Cathie Burton from the Council of Europe with an introduction by Ambassador Manuel Montobbio, Chair of the Executive Committee of the North-South Centre.
The debate will gather their insights on the new equality and social justice movements which place human solidarity on the agenda of global politics. Since its worldwide propagation, we are witnessing a tipping point of these new forms of international solidarity, demonstrating the necessity to come together and take action for solidarity.
This discussion takes place within the #SOLIDACTION campaign launched by the North-South Centre amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
