Over 200 young people from different nationalities, gathered in Mollina for the 18th edition of the University on Youth and Development, issued a a joint declaration. The final statement recognises diversity as a key to develop global identities and reinforces the Network of Universities on Youth and Global Citizenship.

Participants highlighted the necessity of policies to protect youth rights and equal opportunities, emphasizing the importance of a global approach of education to promote diversity and cohesion.

The Joint Declaration also stresses the role of young people in fostering human rights and promoting peace and security.

This year’s theme, "Developing Global Identities" brought a reflection about stereotypes and discriminations, uniting young people in the promotion of more inclusive societies.
