On 08 - 11 November, project facilitated training of trainers (ToT) workshop with selected police officers and members of the National Preventive Mechanism against Torture (NPM) on Stress and Anger Management and Emotional Self-control. It was organized in cooperation with National Preventive Mechanism against Torture (NPM) and Police Training Department.

The ToT was delivered based on the training manual recently designed by the project, with support of distinguished local expert in psychiatry and psychology, who has excellent knowledge of the NPM mandate. The author of the training material was subsequently involved in training of future trainers in the Police, who will further continue with cascade training activities with their colleagues in other units and local police stations.

The activity is follow-up to NPM recommendations for law enforcement agencies to include activities that help coping stress accumulated in every-day work of the police, what is expected to have positive effect on prevention of torture and ill-treatment in interaction with persons deprived of liberty. The project "Strengthening the Kosovo* Institutions in Fight against Torture, Ill-treatment and Other Degrading Treatment" is funded by Norway and implemented by the Council of Europe.
