The third phase of this training for the first group of trainers was organized on 28-30 September 2018 while it was organised for the second group on 25-27 January 2019 in Ankara with the participation of 53 lawyers in total.

Trainer lawyers visited the Constitutional Court, were briefed about the Court and met with rapporteurs from Commissions and Sections on the first two days of the training. In these sessions, discussions were held on the problematic areas dealt in individual applications and actual case laws of the Constitutional Court related to the right to life and prohibition of torture, right to person’s liberty and security, right to a fair trial, right to property, the right to respect for private life and family life and freedom of religion and conscience/expression/assembly and association.

On the last day of the training, theoretical and practical information about adult training were shared with the participants in order to improve facilitator and class management skills of trainers.

These sessions were organized in cooperation with the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and the Constitutional Court.

Lawyers who completed their training deliver training for their colleagues on individual application procedure and admissibility in local training sessions. The target is to reach 3000 lawyers throughout Turkey with training sessions to be organized within the project.
