In the framework of the regional action “Judicial training institutes for Quality and Sustainability”, a ready-to-use, easily adaptable and user-friendly Methodology and Tools for Evaluation of Human Rights Training was presented during an online regional event on Wednesday, 26 May 2021. The developed Methodology provides recommendations on resolving challenges common to all training institutions, such as inter alia conducting impact evaluation of training activities.
The online presentation brought together the representatives of all judicial training institute of the Western Balkan region. The event was an excellent opportunity to discuss best practices and challenges related to evaluation of training activities conducted by the judicial training institutes. The main focus was on how the developed Methodology and Tools for Evaluation of Human Rights Training could complement the evaluation efforts already put in place by the beneficiary institutions. Most of the participants agreed that the developed Methodology and its Tools will primarily enhance their capacities related to follow-up evaluation of training activities. The importance of the Council of Europe support in ensuring the proper application of the Methodology has underlined at several occasions during the meeting.
The activity is organised within the action “Judicial training institutes for Quality and Sustainability", implemented in the framework of the joint programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”. The action will provide further support and guidance to the judicial training Institutes of the Western Balkan region for applying the Methodology and Tools for Evaluation of Human Rights Training.
