- Assisted participants to align training material with their practical experience in the following spheres:
- The mechanism of the ECHR and the case-law of the ECtHR
- The role and place of the SBI in the national human rights protection system
- Effective investigation in the context of the right to life and prohibition of torture
- The right to freedom and security of a person. ECHR-compliant investigation
- The right to a fair trial. Role of the SBI
- The right to respect for one’s private and family life, home and correspondence: ECHR-compliant investigation
- Conducted a range of Q&A sessions on the most relevant issues of adherence to the ECHR standards in the context of challenges raised by current national practice
Results showed that 100% of surveyed participants are determined to apply acquired knowledge in practice in future.
