The handbook on “The Right to Respect for Private Life and Family Life” was published under the Joint Project of the European Union and the Council of Europe on “Supporting the Individual Application to the Constitutional Court in Turkey”.

The book written by Dr Gulay Arslan Öncü, who was also one of the academics that prepared the training modules on “fundamental rights and freedoms” used in the training sessions of the project, aims to raise awareness and knowledge of legal professionals on the major decisions and principles of the Turkish Constitutional Court (TCC) and the European Court of Human Rights (the Court) related to the right to respect for private life and family life.

The book, analysing the case laws of the TCC and the Court on the basis of the right to respect for private life and family life, was published in 6000 copies and distributed to the stakeholders of the project, legal professionals in training sessions and all law schools in Turkey.
