Given the educational role of Judicial Training Centre (JTC) in the judicial system of Montenegro, strengthening its capacities and internal organisational efficiency is crucial in improving the application of the European Convention of Human Rights at the national level.

The internal software of the JTC has been upgraded with the aim to allow the maintaining track of judges and prosecutors’ trianing paths as well as to facilitate e-learning.

The Project provided comprehensive support in modifying the existing software solution used by JTC, so as to enable a more thorough insight and a closer and more systematic monitoring of the training programmes for legal professionals, which will facilitate better reporting and statistics production.

On a related note, the e-learning platform has been developed. It will ease the access to courses for the judiciary, thus increasing the number of trained legal professionals, and ultimately contributing to greater capacities of legal professionals to apply human rights standards in their daily work.

The activity is implemented uunder the joint initiative of the European Union/Council of Europe Horizontal Facility Action “Fighting ill-treatment and impunity and enhancing the application of the ECtHR case-law on national level”, with the aim of enhancing the capacities of the JTC.
