A five-day Training of Trainers on Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights was organised on 11-15 September 2017 in Struga.

The selected participants, as future trainers of the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors, had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge on Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, through modern interactive teaching methods, which will be applied respectively by the Academy in future trainings.

Comprehensive training materials were developed, translated together with relevant case studies and  distributed to the participants during the training. These materials will be fully incorporated by the Academy and will be used for future related trainings.

As of October, judges and prosecutors who have benefitted from the training will start conducting trainings to their peers, as part of the Academy’s training programme.

This activity was organised within the Action “Increasing judicial capacity to safeguard human rights and combat ill-treatment and impunity”, as part of the “Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey”.
