V International Scientific and Practical Conference
  On October 12, the House of Human Rights hosted the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of Human Rights Protection in the Eurasian Space: Exchange of Best Practices of Ombudsmen". This year's conference is dedicated to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and environmental human rights. The event gathered more than 250 participants in person and in video-conference mode: ombudsmen of foreign states and heads of international organizations and associations of ombudsmen, as well as heads of state authorities of the Russian Federation, ombudsmen for human rights in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, representatives of civil and scientific communities. The conference was opened by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation T. Moskalkova and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights M. Bachelet. During the plenary session "NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN PROTECTING ENVIRONMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS", the Director of the Office of the Directorate General for Programs of the Council of Europe Ms. Verena Taylor made a speech.
