On 3-7 October 2022, the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities held its 76th plenary meeting in Strasbourg. The Advisory Committee adopted, on 5 October, its final opinions on the implementation of the Convention by Armenia and Italy, which will become public in February 2023, once the government comments, if any, received. On 6 October, it approved its draft opinions on the implementation of the Convention by the United Kingdom and Kosovo* and on 7 October the draft opinion on Switzerland, all of which will now undergo a confidential dialogue phase with the states parties concerned before being examined again and adopted at the forthcoming December and February plenary sessions.

*All reference to Kosovo, whether to the territory, institutions or population, in this text shall be understood in full compliance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and without prejudice to the status of Kosovo.
