Miktat Algül is the general broadcasting coordinator of Mezitli FM who defines himself as a “patriotic, Kemalist journalist” and claims that he has been subjected to a conspiracy because of this. He strongly believes that he has been accused, because of the publication policy he follows, on the basis of evidence collected through conspiracies, illegal methods and fake witnesses. He was detained on 17 May 2010 when he was arrested on the allegation of being a member of an unknown organisation. Algül has been sentenced to 61 years of imprisonment.
