The integration of migrants and the impact on it of their acquisition of competence in the language(s) of the host country are a focus for political debate and policy initiatives in a growing number of Council of Europe member states, as is demonstrated by the surveys carried out to date by the Council of Europe.

Principaux objectifs :

  • aider les Etats membres à élaborer des politiques cohérentes et efficientes ou de revisiter les politiques existantes, ceci conformément aux valeurs partagées et aux principes du Conseil de l’Europe
     
  • proposer un soutien pratique pour une mise en œuvre efficace de ces politiques;
     
  • encourager les bonnes pratiques et la qualité des formations en langue et de l'évaluation des compétences en langue;
     
  • offrir une plateforme permettant aux Etats membres de réfléchir sur ces politiques et pratiques
     

L'objectif de ce site est d’offrir des moyens concrets pour accéder à des ressources utiles et mutualisées. Il a été élaboré avec l’aide d’un groupe d’experts dans divers domaines.
 

Sections available in several languages
The Language Policy Unit would like to express its thanks to the ALTE members (LAMI Group) who contributed the translations of certain sections of the LIAM website, making it possible to create this multilingual version. Translations are available in the following languages: Finnish, German, Italian, Norwegian, Russian and Slovenian.
