The Government of Malta has made a voluntary contribution of €160,000 to support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” 2023-2026, the Council of Europe Consultation Group on the Children of Ukraine, the Council of Europe Action Plan on Protecting Vulnerable Persons in the Context of Migration and Asylum in Europe 2021-2025, cooperation with representatives of Belarusian democratic forces and civil society, the campaign for the safety of journalists "Journalists matter" and the activities of the Venice Commission.
 
The agreement was signed on 5 March 2024 by Mr Ian Borg, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, and Ms Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General.
