IDPs contribute to local fundraising strategies

On November 24-25, the Project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions. Phase II” organised an online workshop on developing fundraising strategies and grant writing.

The participants are public servants, NGOs, and IDP-activists from Berdyansk, Kramatorsk, Kryvyi Rih, Storogynets, and Tairove.

These five communities had been selected as partners for the Project's component on promoting better integration of IDPs and the human rights protection of the conflict-affected population at local level.

The development of fundraising strategies is one of the priorities outlined in the joint working plans formulated the Project and the communities in August 2021.

At the workshop the participants exchanged their experience and plans on fundraising, strategic partnership, and networking. It was concluded, that clear communication, transparency, along with the meaningful participation of IDPs and the conflict-affected population in the process are crucial components for the success.

After the workshop the Project will provide technical assistance and expertise to support the communities in developing fundraising strategies and applying for grants.

The assistance and expertise to be tailored to the needs, expectations, and the capacities of each community.
