The Council of Europe project supported six more displaced institutions

In March-June 2020 the Council of Europe Project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions” supported six displaced institutions in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Within one of its pillars the Project intents to enhance competencies of professionals in improving services for and by IDPs, as well as to strengthen capacities of displaced institutions working on IDP-issues.

According to prior needs assessment 5 displaced institutions were supported in 2018. Namely, Donetsk Vasyl Stus National University, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Luhansk Center of Social and Psychological Support, Institute of Economic and Legal Research and Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

This year the Project provided IT equipment and software to the institutions located in Donetsk region: The Second Donetsk State Notary Chamber (Gornyak), The Fifth Donetsk State Notary Chamber (Pokrovsk), The Seventh Donetsk State Notary Chamber (Selidove), The Eighth Donetsk State Notary Chamber (Selidove) and State Higher Education Establishment “Donetsk National Technical University” (Pokrovsk). In total, the institutions received 71 items of 10 kind.

Along with that, 424 copies of in-demand publications and manuals were provided for the use of professors and students of Donetsk Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Cooperation with the displaced institutions and displaced professionals will further stay as a priority for the Project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions”.
