Today, the Council of Europe (CoE) presented Thematic Factsheet “Effective Investigations into Death or Ill-Treatment Caused by Security Forces” (UA/EN) to key stakeholders in the field of effective investigation and coordination on execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Ukraine.

The presentation was attended by representatives of Prosecutor General's Office, State Bureau of Investigation, Government Agent, Prosecutors’ Training Center and provided participants with opportunity to exchange relevant information on recent developments and achievements in the sphere of effective investigation into deaths or ill-treatment caused by law enforcement agencies in Ukraine.

The Thematic Factsheet was prepared by the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the ECtHR of the CoE. Translation of the Factsheet into Ukrainian was carried out within the CoE Project "Supporting Institutions to Combat Ill-Treatment in Ukraine".

The presentation was organized within the CoE projects "Human Rights Compliant Criminal Justice System in Ukraine" and "Supporting Institutions to Combat Ill-Treatment in Ukraine".
