On 30 May 2018 the first meeting of the Coordination Council on the issues of professional training of civil servants, local state administration heads, their first deputies and deputies, local self-government officials, local councillors was held at the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service. The event is organized with the support of the Council of Europe Program "Decentralization and Local Self-Government Reform in Ukraine".

The creation of the Coordinating Council is an element of the implementation of the objectives of the Concept of reforming the system of professional training of civil servants, local state administration heads, their first deputies and deputies, local self-government officials, local councillors, which was developed with the direct participation of experts of the Council of Europe and approved by the Government on 1 December 2017.
