On the occasion of 8 March, the Council of Europe is releasing ‘8 Questions on 8 March’, an interactive questionnaire in English, French, Italian, German and Russian, designed to raise awareness of the Istanbul Convention and get the views of as many people as possible about what they think the priorities are in the quest to end violence against women and girls.

Raising awareness of the Istanbul Convention and its aims is an important step in making progress towards ending violence against women. More progress in this regard is needed, as stated by the Secretary General in his statement on International Women’s Day.
