It is with great joy we announce this year’s fourth and latest addition to the ICC family, by welcoming the city of Neumarkt into the International Intercultural Cities Network .

Neumarkt is t a diverse city where 60 different languages are spoken and that welcomes 120 different nationalities amongst its more than 40 000 citizens.

All of the city’s actors work together to put inclusive integration at the forefront of policies and daily life, with innovative measures such as the adoption of the 2018 sustainability report, the basis of Neumarkt’s sustainable development plan for the next 10 years and a valuable tool to bring integration projects and initiatives to life. Some of these approaches include an intercultural gardening project, several cultural events and anti-racism actions.

Neumarkt sees community cohesion as one of its main priorities. We look forward to a successful cooperation with our new partners, supporting them in their efforts to achieve successful cohesion through mutual cooperation and shared responsibility by all parties involved.
