My name is Jenny Almén Linn and I work as a business strategist at Alingsås Business Center. A business development center owned by the Municipality of Alingsås, a town of 40 000 inhabitants, situated 50 km North east of Göteborg, Sweden.

Our focus is to help both established businesses develop as well as to encourage new start ups. We organise start-up-Courses where we at present have a 50/50 participation from men and women of different ages and Culture.

We are now interested in attracting more individuals who have come as refugees to Sweden to consider starting their own businesses. Our funding comes from the municipality, but we cooperate with many different parts to find finance for our different Projects. My background is within business development, marketing and intercultural Communication. I have worked many years within the tourism industry, but am now focused on business and community development more generally.
