Webinar on Intercultural Cities in the Asia Pacific

The Intercultural Cities Programme is happy to announce the opening of registrations for the Public Webinar on “Intercultural Cities in the Asia Pacific – Local experiences, regional cooperation”, organised in cooperation with the Consulate General of Japan in Strasbourg.

The webinar is one of the special events commemorating the 25th anniversary of Japan’s participation in the Council of Europe as an observer state. In this webinar, the two co-authors of a soon to be published booklet, entitled “An Introduction to the Intercultural City for Local Governments in Japan” will share their views on how to create an intercultural city by referring to good practices of Hamamatsu and Kobe, two Japanese leading cities in migrant integration.

The webinar will then feature experiences from ICC members from Australia and South Korea, particularly in the field of education of migrant children and multilingual communication.

The working language will be English.
