The project consists of the implementation of workshops for the social security staff (Haifa Office) to improve their knowledge about the Ethiopian culture and community. Moreover, meetings are organised with the Ethiopian community leadership to learn about personal stories and to identify the needs of the community.
The project is still running and a full evaluation has hence not been completed. The feedback from the social security staff so far has been very enthusiastic. As the implementation of the project has progressed a feeling of meaningful learning and tools has appeared.
The project cooperates with the Social security department, the welfare department in the municipality of Haifa and the Ethiopian community civil leadership.
