Lisbon, Portugal, developed a public campaign (“Somos os Direitos que temos” – We are our rights) creating more awareness about diversity, human rights, and inclusion. The campaign aimed to “re-write” what it means to be a Lisbon resident, to include all different identities and show the city acknowledges and is proud of its diversity. Further, the campaign aimed to at the same time tackle discrimination.
The campaign is part of a larger project that entailed moments to listen to the needs of different residents, engage them in the project and to create training and awareness raising sessions for several groups. The posters were distributed all over the city, at bus stops, kiosks, and other public spaces to increase visibility.
