Actively contributing to the consultation about the local action plan, Patras LSG members of “ARRIVAL CITIES” project, met on 6th July 2017.

Emphasis was put on clarifying the main content of the draft skeleton of the action plan taking into account the URBACT program rules and similar related documents for this regard. The discussion was vivid aiming at recording details of the topics already found of significant importance to the local context.

The meeting also included exchange of information about the thematic workshop held in Thessaloniki (May 2017) and the obligations raised through the decisions of the Steering Committee.

Furthermore, Patras LSG members addressed their thoughts about the upcoming thematic workshop in Oldenburg (12.-15.9.2017, DE) and how its theme is linked with local initiatives in Patras and with the action plan itself.

It is noteworthy that the «ARRIVAL CITIES» project perfectly relates to the activation of Patras in the "Intercultural Cities-ICC" network of the Council of Europe and «ALDA: European Association of Local Democracy» where the city is an active member for many years now, trying to exploit the diversity advantage and also apply democratic values in practice.

This networking has been exploited by the city of Patras and ARRIVAL CITIES project has been presented on ICC and ALDA websites.

Patras intends to continously exploit its own local, regional, national and international links, so that to achieve a multiplier effect on the dissemination and exploitation of «ARRIVAL CITIES» results.
